“Yes, we live in New York City, and yes, we have twin daughters,” Yael said with a laugh. “This type of thing does happen!” As Yael’s daughters have gotten older, the family’s bathroom was in near-constant use. “In the morning, when everyone has to get ready for school and work, it’s absolute chaos.”
Rather than deal with that stress on an ongoing basis, Yael turned to her NYC plumber for help. “I told him I didn’t even know how this renovation could work, but that something had to change. We needed more than one person to be able to be in the bathroom, preparing for their day, without sacrificing anyone’s comfort or privacy.”
Her NYC plumber worked with Yael to develop a creative solution. “He was the one who pointed out that if we reconfigured the room’s layout, we’d be able to have a dual vanity, with sinks, positioned along one wall opposite the vertical spa my husband and I were having installed as a treat for ourselves.” This plan left plenty of room for a screening wall that concealed the toilet area from everyone else’s view.
“Obviously, my husband and I won’t be showering at the same moment the girls are getting ready for school,” Yael said. “So things work out perfectly. If one girl needs to brush her teeth or do her hair while the other one needs the bathroom, there’s no conflict. Everyone can do what they need to do. Our mornings have become so much more peaceful, and my stress level has dropped 100%. Now we have a family friendly bathroom, and I owe it all to the creative skills of our NYC plumber.”
