Tidiness is Top Kitchen Remodel Trend for 2018

March 14, 2018 by Boris Mechanical

If you’re going to re-do your kitchen, focus on features that make cleaning up and staying organized super simple. That’s the way to be on trend in 2018, according to Houzz. There’s something calming and compelling about empty countertops, built-in appliances, and having all the everyday essentials within easy reach.

Chef’s Kitchens – Still Popular. Tech in Kitchens? Not So Much

From what we see as providers of NYC plumbing services, local homeowners are definitely on trend with their kitchen remodel preferences. Chef’s kitchens are still very popular. Many new appliance installation jobs we do include gas ranges, convection ovens, refrigerators and dishwashers – all of the gear you need to make restaurant-quality food in the comfort of your own home. While the trend nationwide is for kitchen to include an island, here in NY, the galley kitchen remains king.

Smart appliances are starting to have their moment – after all, who doesn’t want to just tell the tea kettle that it’s time for a cup? – but other high tech features no longer top the kitchen renovation wish list. The enthusiasm for televisions in the kitchen has dropped off sharply.

When Is the Best Time for a NYC Kitchen Remodel?
